SERVE will give the food to low-income people
MANASSAS, Va. – The Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative’s group of employee volunteers, NOVEC HELPS, is collecting nonperishable Thanksgiving food for low-income people through Wednesday, Nov. 15. HELPS will deliver the food to SERVE, a part of Northern Virginia Family Service. SERVE will distribute the food to qualified residents in Prince William County as part of Operation Turkey.
Food items may be dropped off at these NOVEC Offices:

Hours: 8:15 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday
Suggested food items for Operation Turkey include bread and muffin mixes, instant mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, boxed desserts, sugar, flour, evaporated milk, prepared pie crusts, and canned meats, vegetables, cranberry sauce, fruit, pie filling, and gravy.
