Apply for Service
If you are a new or returning NOVEC customer, please contact the Customer Care Center at 703-335-0500 to request your start date for electric service. You must call at least three business days prior to your preferred day to start service. New service can only begin Monday through Friday.
The NOVEC Customer Care Center operates from 7:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please have the following information ready when you call:
- First and last name
- Previous NOVEC Account number, if available
- Service address
- Billing address (if different from service address)
- Phone number
- Email address
- Employer name and city of employer
- Requested connection date
If you wish to request a joint account, both individuals must be on the line when calling to start service unless the other joint account member is the spouse. In this case, please provide the following information for the other joint account member:
- First name, middle initial, last name
- Employer name and city of employer
